New Party?

Hey Jammers! Sorry I haven't been posting quite as much as I used to (as in, not at all) but I've been busy with homework and other things. Anyhow, when getting back on AJ I was greeted by the brand-new Play-As-Your-Pet-Party. Here you can play in a regular AJ party... from a pet's point of view! I'll say no more, so you can experience it yourself by clicking the shiny green Go Now button. :)

Not only that, but I was also greeted by the new deer, hopefully coming out soon. I've been wondering whether it was a deer, moose, alpaca, etc. but I'll still probably think of it as an alpaca from now on. Never mind that, but it's coming in right before the Jamaalidays! The perfect early holiday present if you ask me.

This reminds me, what are you planning on doing for the Jamaalidays? I'll be dressing up my wolf in a corny holiday costume! 

Why Are You Coming Back?

Hey Jammers! I can tell your thinking, "Why has olivejam come back after ditching us and leaving us with absolutely no blog updates?" Well, I'll tell you. With summer and everything, I've been very busy. I went to sleep away, trips, etc. Though lately I've been wanting to start up this blog again, so here is the starting-up post, pretty much. Hope you enjoy all the blog updates heading your way! :)

Big News

Hey Jammers! You probably haven't seen many posts on this blog for a while. I'm just not playing Animal Jam as much as I used too. And tommorow I'm going to sleep away camp for a month, which will just be more time where I won't post. I feel bad just leaving big gaps in between posts, and I'm never really in the mood to share something on the blog. Because of this... I've decided to quit The Animal Jamster. Temporarily. I've been very busy lately, but someday this year or next year I think I'll start the blog again. I just haven't felt the need to blog lately, but maybe in August or December or February I'll continue blogging on it. Also, for the bloggers that put me on the Other Blogs section of their blog, please don't delete this one. I'll continue it later on, and I want jammers to still get help and tips on Aj from this blog. Thank you for everyone who read this blog, I worked very hard on it. Goodbye!

Good, Bad, or Shiny?

Hey Jammers! The Diamond Shop has opened! It has new rares, new animals, and new... stuff. Stuff many Jammers don't consider to be very good. I personally, think AJHQ made a mistake. They put gift card animals in the store! I spent 15.00 dollars on an Arctic Wolf and now you can get it for free! Plus, there are no monthly gifts! It'll take centuries to save up for Gem Shop items, and I loved the monthly gifts! Now absolutely no member stuff is free! Plus, all the rares have come back. AJ doesn't expect to please rare Jammers by bringing all the rares back! And nothing is non-member! This is an outrage! An OUTRAGE!!!!!!!

Excuse me, but there were a few malfunctions in the previous paragraph. Hold on one moment while we quickly sort them out. -Pauses post and takes hot, relaxing bath-

Ok, so though there is a LOT (And i don't mean a little) of outrageous stuff in the diamond shop. But hey, there is some good stuff too. Un-rare members will finally not be criticized for no rares! They'll get all their dream items for only a few diamonds. They'll get the respect they deserve! It is a day to celebrate! :D

A Change

Hey Jammers! I, olivejam have decided from now on to stop posting daily updates. There are a million of daily updates out there, and most Jammers that like AJ will actually go on and check out the new stuff if they can. The stuff is out there for all Jammers to see, so why look at updates for the second time?

Doesn't this stuff look familiar? You've already seen it in Jamaa!

I have been inspired by the few non-item blogs out there and by a few helpful buddies, to stop daily updates. I'll post more, and I'll post meaningful words about Jamaa. I'll post fun stuff, like my recent post, and I'll post exciting things about Jamma and hidden truths and secrets about AJ too. Making daily updates has felt like a chore, considering I already get to see them on Aj and then have to post it all on this blog. Thanks for hanging in there, and that's it for my first truly meaningful post! :D

How To Plan The Perfect Campout

I can get pretty bored on Animal Jam sometimes. Besides playing Sky High, why not host a campout? Well, here are some useful campout tips:

1. Be patient

In order to have a good campout, you need Jammers to come! Go to Jamaa and advertise your campout. But don't leave after saying, "campout my den!" Talk in detail and say it plenty of times. If jammers don't come, be patient and advertise more.

2. Help Jammers understand

If Jammers don't understand or get excited about your campout, they will likely leave. When there are plenty of Jammers at your den, explain that you will be going to ___ in Jamaa and will learn cool facts, sleep under the stars, explore, hunt, etc. 

3. Pick a good location

Remember, to have a good campout you need a good location. Choose a place that has a campfire, interesting facts and nature, not many Jammers, and plenty of wildlife and excitement. You can even set up a campsite in your den! I recommend Sarepia Forest, Mount Shiveer, Coral Canyons, etc.

4. Keep everyone interested

A campout won't be exciting without anything interesting or fun. Plan lots of creative activities, adventures, and fun facts. You can hike, have a scavenger hunt, raft, learn how to hunt, etc.

5. Be a good host

Try to be a good host to your campers. Take interest in things your campers notice or enjoy, and make sure to teach your campers fun nature facts. Don't act too serious, act excited, prepared, and maybe even have some humor. But remember most of all- it's ok to just be yourself!

6. Be prepared

In order to have a great Jamaa campout, you need to be prepared! Tell everyone to wear clothing suitable for where your camping, get bows and swords for hunting, backpacks, maps, and whatever you need to have some fun!

7. Setting up your campsite

I recommend sorting everyone into different tents,  or just getting some sleeping bags out and setting them around the campfire. (Or at least pretend to) Set up everything around the campfire, and grill your hunt on the fire in the middle. Tell ghost stories, and just chat about what you've done and what camping stuff you'll do tomorrow!

8. Make it not too long and not to short

Pick a reasonable amount of time for your campout. Don't make it too short or Jammers won't feel satisfied, and don't make it too long or you'll run out of night and morning activities and get bored. Pick a time in-between that allows you to enjoy the campout, while not get bored.

9. Saying goodbye

There comes a time at the end of a campout when it's time to say goodbye. You'll likely have made a few friends, so make sure to buddy and stay in touch. Remove your campsite, wish everyone a nice day and hope they all enjoyed it as much as you did.

10. Have fun!

All in all, just enjoy the experience and have a good time! Have fun camping, and make sure to be a happy camper!

I'm REALLY sorry I haven't posted in while, but I've had play practice every day after school. (I was a townsperson! :D ) It was actually pretty funny, the chef's line was "This party, will be a triumph!" Yet accidentally, at the night showing he said.  Chef: "This party, will be a failure!" Queen: I do hope so chef. XD

On that note, there are plenty of new AJ updates. First of all, there's the carnival which everyone likes. Lot's of rare items are being sold, and of course cotton candy!

Hey Jammers! I have a few off glitch pictures from a while back, back when I didn't know how to change screenshots. Sorry for the bad picture quality.

The Evil monkeys attack!

It was the weirdest and scariest glitch I have ever seen in my life. I was just hanging out around the Paradise Party, and a bunch of monkeys with the same names, usernames, and patterns and dens started ATTACKING! The screen got all dark, and it started getting really creepy. They literally all had the exact same accounts! I think there hackers who hack into accounts and change the usernames and just about everything else. By the way, I'm the purple smiling fox. :)

I'll admit, I did this glitch on purpose. You have to get 25 of the lights, and place them on top of each other. 

I feel like all the exciting glitches happened when I couldn't take screenshots. :(

The Warrior Cats, The Newz and Some Crazy Upside-Down Party

Hey Jammers! So I was just sitting in my room this morning, getting ready to go out for dim sum. :D I saw this book on my shelf, so I...dun dun dun... picked it up. I dusted off its cover, turned a stained, ripped page and started reading. Here's the first line I read: Thunderclan. Leader: Bluestar. Now that really sent me down memory lane. I read the first page of the actual story, and boy was I amazed. Heres the first few lines: A half-moon glowed on smooth granite boulders, turning them silver. The silence was broken only by the ripple of water from the swift black river and whisper of trees in the forest beyond. :O Of course, I read ahead. Now, I bet your wondering what book it was, so I'll tell you. The Warrior Cats. Most people wonder, Why are those books so popular? Well, first of all, the lines are amazing! They stun you right at the most boring moments, and make you burst into tears at a moment of real life happiness. They are super poetic, which I always try to be in my writing. And the dialogue... go ahead. Look through the entire book, and you will not find one single said in the entire book. They use words like mewed  quickly and growled the golden tabby angrily, and admitted. I really value a good book that doesn't have all those boring saids in them. He said, you said, why am I even reading this thing? I just started another book, The One And Only Ivan, and it has great dialogue too. Well, its not really dialogue. Its from a gorillas point of view, sort of in notes. You get to really learn what Ivan's point of view is. Also, both those books are pretty darn creative. They strike you with some unknown thing called a clan and all those different types of clan cats. All those different moments of the clan day. All those different clan meetings and words in the clan language.  The words make you feel like your really there. When the clan cats are in action, your frightened and amazed and happy to be reading this great book all at the same time. Now, I've bet you've figured out that I am totally obsessed with the Warrior Cats series. The true name is actually Warriors though. But lately, in AJ (yep, the whole reason you probally came to this blog) Jammers have been doing totally unreal versions of clans. What is Chipmunk clan? Whats cool clan or Dawn Clan? Hello! Those aren't real clans! And in Jamaa, trouble is brewing. Innocent bunnies are being hunted by clan wolves. Clan wolves have been meanly laughing and calling anybody else a kittypet. They didn't even get the clans right, they don't get to use clan words! I love a good clan, but AJ clans are getting a bit out of control.!And on that happy note, here's some AJ News!  First of all, there are finally 1 MILLION JAMMERS! -applause to AJ- You can get the awesome new banner which will soon become rare, to celebrate.

What the.. theres a giraffe eye in the picture! Also, there is a new spirit armor Monthly Gift coming out                                      in May...

Looks pretty cool! Sadly, koalas are leaving Jamaa, so I recommend buying one soon! Or else your koala won't get to wear that awesome spirit armor...

 

There is an epic Easter Egg Hunt too, which gives you a great prize perfect for building a Bird Reserve/  Egg Museum! 

    

                                                              

Finally the arcade games decided to be nicer to us... and let us get DOUBLE GEMS ON EVERY GAME! For two whole weeks! That, readers, is true AJ spirit. 

Try to think of something laugh-out-loud funny, cause Grahams hosting a Joke Contest! We're in for some real laughs on April 3rd. 

Theres an April Fools Party too, which will turn your whole world upside down! (Literally, the whole parties upside-down!)

Hey Jammers! I just started my latest idea, being a DJ. I do weddings, parties, etc. this video tells u all about it. Sorry about the slow typing and mispelled words, I was exhausted. Sorry about all the DJ words too, I was practicing for my latest gig. :D All I need to be a DJ at your party, wedding etc. is the Jammer Anthem/ Play Wild Music playing, and maybe one or two DJ things (such as the Diso Light, Turntables, etc.)

Hey Jammers! Lately not many people have been checking out the blog, and I need to face the sad truth: My blog isn't that popular. :( So, I'm gonna try to make that change. :) I'll be doing tons of updates, and i'll try to post more. Please tell your friends and really any animaljam fans you know to check out the blog. And also, my blog doesn't have a single comment. Four-Leaf Clovers, Dusty Barns and The Invisible Trader!

Hey Jammers! Today theres a new item, The Clover earmuffs.  I'm gonna try to get all the lucky day items before they get out of shop and people start wanting them.

Also, today I have discovered a new glitch. If you delete a buddy thats offline, you can trade with them. Weird!  

Heres some proof that this Jammer is offline, the game button is gray!

The barn den is coming back, costing an entire 5,000 gems. It includes a pretty big yard, and some hay bales too. 

For some very random reason, I thought they said the den was musical and dusty?? Ok Jammers, thats it for the update. I just want to say that I will soon be adding a LOT of new stuff to the blog, just stay tuned. This is Olivejam, wishing you a happy Jamaa day!

Pixel Palooza

Hi Jammers, and today I have something important to tell you. I'll start from the beginning. So I was at someone's den for a rare item giveaway. I kept saying that I wanted the rare phantom cage, and an easter egg. Everyone kept talking, and the den owner said we would get nothing. Except for Empress, who was sitting quietly and patiently. She got a ton of rares, from a fox hat to a giant lion plushie and kite. After getting all these rares, she bragged. I told her "Well, i'm much rarer than you anyway." She answered, "Would you like to bet?" And wore a ton of extremely epic rares. I replied, "Well, I don't care about rares." I gave my rare star glasses to Empress, since she liked rares so much.

 I told her that I enjoy going outside and hanging out with friends, not obsessing over rares. I gave my rare reindeer mask to my friend Arctic too, and my rare astronaut helmet away to my other friend.

I did lots of unfair trades with my friends, trying to convince them that I didn't care about losing my rares. My friend sent me a giraffe toy, and I kept on giving it back. He had spent five gems on getting that giraffe, but I hadn't.  I went to one of my friend's dens after it blew over, and she told me she  was scammed. I said that, "Scammers are just lazy jammers fighting over pixels." And its true. Rares are only some pixels on a computer, and not something worth all that scamming. That day I learned an important lesson, and I hope you do to. I hope you learn the same lesson I did. After giving away those rares, I didn't feel worried or sad at all. I felt way better than if I had gotten rares for myself. Happy Jamming!

The Texting Disease

Hi Jammers! Yes, I know I've already posted today but I just have to share something really important with you... The Texting Disease. I'll start from the beginning. So a loooong time ago, back when your grandparents weren't even born yet, Animal Jam was a fun place for kids to learn facts about animals and have fun! Over the years, new stuff came to Jamaa but it was still a very fun-loving place. Suddenly, one day a jammer decided to talk like they were texting on Animal Jam! They used abbreviations like r u and brb and lol. In the blink of an eye, the Texting Disease had come to Jamaa. Now, jammers are constantly talking like that and making tons of faces like this O.O, this <3, and this! ;) Sometimes younger kids go into Jamaa and its practically like everyones texting! I mean, saying u and maybe :) sometimes is ok.  Of course, Animal Jam is still a fun place where we can make buddies and play games but the Texting Disease has infected everyone! I suggest you head to your local hospital or medical center to get medication... before its too late. Just kidding, you'll have to get a very painful shot! (just kidding again!) The Texting Disease is very contagious, but luckily i'm fine! I still like to use the awesome smiley face though. :)

Hats, Raccoons And Spooky Secrets...

Hey jammers! I just found out that leprechaun hats are being sold again! I think they were last sold in one of the hat shops around jamaa. Raccoons came out too! I have a feeling there gonna be pretty popular for the next few days. Bird poop is now sold at the Paradise Party also.

While I was in the Temple of Zios, I saw a strange door near the lake. It had boards covering it and looked pretty mysterious... there could be something evil behind it... please share what you think it might be in the comments! Thats it for the update, Happy Jamming!
